9:00am- Scrumptious breakfast at Crazy Otto's Diner!

Treat your taste buds and fuel your body well for the day ahead with a scrumptious breakfast at the Crazy Otto’s Diner, a mainstay of Lancaster from past 15 years. 10:00am- A walk in the American Heroes Park!

Head to the American Heroes Park, 12.5 acre recreational park with memorials in honor of the local heroes and plenty of options for fun and enjoyment. The park was named in honor of those brave women and men who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s freedom. The park also features two gazebos, soccer and baseball fields, playground, handball and basketball court, an adobe structure, trellis structures and ample parking space. It is a gathering place for both the residents and visitors. Take a tranquil walk amidst the nature, indulge in outdoor activities and also take in some history of the nation.

11:00am- Soak yourself in local art and history at Lancaster Museum of Art and History!

Next, treat yourself to a history and art tour at the Lancaster Museum of Art and History. The Antelope Valley history is depicted through a wide collection of art, including sculpture, film, drawings, prints and photography. Next, head to the Western Hotel Museum to trace the beginnings of the city.  It is one of the oldest standing structures in Lancaster. It served as a vital role in the local culture and history of the area. The museum features artifacts and photos detailing the story of the people who constructed, lived and worked here. Walk through the wide hallways and experience the past. As you tour the museum, you feel the vibe of the 1890s. Historical artifacts include old mining equipments, Native American stone tools and other objects.

2:00pm- Learn about local flora, fauna and nature at Prime Desert Woodland Preserve!

Enjoy nature and explore desert fauna and flora at the Prime Desert Woodland Preserve. It is a 160-acre natural area with desert vegetation, including California Junipers and Joshua Trees. Enjoy the summer breeze, take a serene walk amidst the evergreen trees, see the varied species of birds, and spot jackrabbits and other wildlife. It has hiking trails, scenic landscape and plenty of flora and fauna. Do carry your camera and capture some scenic views of the spot. Young and young-at-heart folks, both will enjoy this place.

3:00pm- Civic Musical Road- An Experience like no other!

Experience the fun side of driving at the Civic Musical Road. Drive down the musical road at the speed of 55-60mph and you’ll hear the notes of Rossini's "William Tell Overture". There are grooves cut into the pavement that releases a musical tone when driven over. A unique experience awaits you at the Musical Road!

4:00pm- Catch a baseball game at The Hangar!

Visit the The Hanger, a stadium that is home to a minor league baseball team- The Lancaster JetHawks. It can accommodate more than 7,000 baseball fans. The draw is the skyboxes, a video message board and a manual scoreboard. It’s an impressive stadium with comfortable seating and concession stands strewn all over the spot.
