Lancaster is easily accessible by the State Route 14 (known as Antelope Valley Freeway) from High Sierra vacation lands (north) and Greater Los Angeles (south). California State Hwy 138 and Highway 58 also serves Lancaster. It heads out east and west through the Antelope Valley. California State Hwy 138 leads to Interstate-5 to Sacramento and LA and Interstate 15 to Las Vegas and San Diego.

Lancaster is served by Metrolink. The Lancaster Metrolink Station is served by Antelope Valley Line from LA Union Station. On weekdays, 18 Metrolink rails serve the Lancaster Metrolink Station and on weekends, 12 Metrolink train serve the station. Metrolink train runs from Lancaster to Palmdale to Los Angeles Union Station from Mon day though Saturday.

Another commuter bus service serving Lancaster is the Santa Clarita Route 795 that runs between Santa Clarita and Lancaster.

Greyhound Bus Lines also serve Lancaster area. It stops at the Metrolink Station, Lancaster and the closeby Palmdale Transportation Center.

It also offers Dial-a-Ride facility mainly for disable people.
